  1. Holy crap, that’s hardcore if you scratched the F6 sapphire. Was it a wipeout on rocks? I have been pretty impressed with how mine has held up after hitting many doorknobs and stuff like that with no damage, but I am not a mountain biker.

  2. Merry Christmas.. Question if u have time for one. I have a Garmin Fenix 5X Plus and I mountain bike as well. What would u recommend for me to use instead of my Garmin watch
    Thank you

  3. What about something that can track you playing field sports such as soccer or football. Similar to the Chest strap that can store data to be synced later?

  4. Hi Des, I watched a lot of your reviews before buying a new training watch for my girlfriend (polar vantage m). However it would be nice if each review you could give each watch a score based on your personal opinion (maybe with the most important positives and negatives). So if I’m looking for a watch for a certain budget, I can take a look at the highest scores that fit my budget, and depending on my needs decide using the positives and negatives. I really appreciate the depth you go to in these videos. However when I am watching more than a couple reviews, it’s easy to get lost in the details and lose track of what is the most important.

  5. Does hr-run pro collect cadence, oscillation, ground contact time, ground contact balance, stride length, and vertical ratio on Vivoactive 4 /venu watches? Or you need tou use forerunner/fenix series to collect this data?

  6. Hey Des, I’m surprised, how did you manage to damage the sapphire glass on the Fénix 7? I thought it was nearly impossible to scratch, unless you come across with particles elements like the same sapphire or diamond.

  7. if you have a 200 dollars and you want to buy a watch for tracking your activities(GPS for the route, Heart Rate, Cadence sensor compatibility, and upload it to strava after the activity, what reliable smart watch would you recommend with the budget? Main activity would be cycling, (80% Road cycling and 20% trails). Thanks a lot.

  8. #12: a handlebar mount to use the watch while riding a bike. Roughly 10% of the price of a bike computer 🙂

  9. How is an Apple Watch with a screen protector on? Cause since it’s a piece of jewelry that you wear every day I feel that it will make it kinda ugly, same goes for the case.
I was using the galaxy watch active which held fine to some accidental bumps while exercising but I feel that the Apple Watch will be more fragile.

  10. Great video- I notice the Lamicall Stand holding Garmin instinct,
Does this stand hold the Fenix line ( Fenix 5x, 7x, Tactix 7) while allowing room for a Garmin Charge cable to fee through the opening?

  11. Good videos but please do time stamps so we don’t have to sit through products we already own or not interested in

  12. 7:15 Is Garmin’s extended display the only way in which their bike computers and smartwatches interact? My Edge 510 doesn’t support it and I was wondering about if I should use it any differently now that I have a Forerunner 45 as well.

  13. I’m a simple man. I see an Instinct on a stand, I press like. Great content as always. It is a bit of a long stretch, but technically Varia can connect to several watches as well. But hey, if the smart trainer qualifies… ;-D

  14. If you have an H7 sensor and thinking about upgrading to H10, save your money and get a Polar Pro belt for your H7. The accuracy will be the same between the 2. You’re welcome.

  15. Wtf are you all doing with your watches that they take on this damage? I have a garmin so maybe it is different like you say for an Apple watch, but whaaat.

  16. Is the chest heart rate strap necessary these days? Because the heart rate censor of the watch are getting better and better

  17. All great accessories I think, although instead of getting a bike computer why not just attaching your Garmin watch / or any other tracking watch to the bike? That’s what i do with my Fenix and it works perfectly.

  18. For Garmin watch users (or other Ant+ compatible watches) the Garmin Tempe is nice, and reasonably priced accessory. It measures the temperature of wherever you fasten it.

Here’s a setup that I find fun. Garmin Fenix 6x strapped to the Garmin watch handle bar attachment of my bike, Jabra Elite Sport headphones measuring my heart rate (HR is paired to the phone through smart Bluetooth, headphone audio is paired to my phone but can pair to the watch too) and Tempe is paired to the watch measuring the temperature (although the Fenix watch can measure the true temperature if its not on your wrist).

I find it handy to use my watch as a cycle computer this way. I could add a cadence sensor too but at the moment and with my level of cycling I’m not too bothered right now, maybe in the future.
