  1. As usual, a very useful video. I always forgot that bluetooth has latency, and that’s why I never used it live, apart for streaming in-between tracks whan nobody is playing.

  2. Very interesting, Scott. Thanks. I had no idea that the video was being manipulated to match the latency of my bluetooth headphones. You learn something new every day. Especially on your channel. πŸ˜€

  3. Same reason gamers used to prefer Wired keyboards over Bluetooth keyboards.
    Bluetooth has latency.

Now-a-days, we have Wireless Gaming Keyboards, which connect over 2.4Ghz , so we have low latency.

  4. Can anyone recommend a good bluetooth module that i can plug into the 1/8 jack of an airplane monitor screen and pair / work with apple earpods or something of the sort?

  5. Do you have any suggestion for a 0 latency portable speaker for live presentations? Surprisingly, many portable speakers have long latencies even through line in.

  6. Yup, so important for people to understand! Should help a lot of people avoid some of the cheap gear that looks like it should apply for things like IEM use that just won’t work in the real world! Cheers!

  7. So regarding the transmitter, to be used for recording vocals or instruments (I use GarageBand and LogicPro) on IPadPro Circa 2022, am I plugging the transmitter brick into my iPad (using 3.5mm to usb c adapter)?

  8. thx for the video clarifying the difference, as mention before, I didn’t know there was a difference. Everyone appreciates the time you put into these videos’ Scott. Rock on

  9. Hi Scott, good video to explain difference. Can i have question. What you think about this scenarion: is it possible to play instrument (drums) with bluetooth headphones and click running on phone (metronome). I guess, if click "track" is continuous audio, every click will be delayed same amount of ms. On contrary, i the app sends individual clicks / sounds, every click is its own short audio file with start and stop and its own delay, it will be impossible to play consistently.

  10. Scott, always great, informative videos! Totally agree with you on the latency factor of Bluetooth althoug it can work in specific instances. We have been using a Motorola Moto Bluetooth receiver to feed iPad backing tracks, using Stage Traxx 3, to feed a Behringer XR-18. There is latency of course, but since we aren’t "syncing" with anything, all that is noticeable is a slight delay in the start of the track. We have been using this flawlessly for a number of years. Where I originally noticed the latency is when I tried using the iPad to play the B4 organ module and, of course, the delay between pressing a key and the resultant sound was completely unacceptable. Keep up the great work!
